Escabeche is the first dish my mother taught me to prepare when I was still in grade school. Some of you may wonder what Escabeche is. It is a sweet and sour fish dish which is very easy to prepare. Here are the ingredients:
• 1 medium (750g) maya-maya or any fish
• 1 medium onion, cut into rings
• 1 tablespoon ginger strips
• 1 small carrot, cut into strips
• 1 medium red bell pepper, cut into strips
• 1 can (237g) Del Monte Sweet and Sour Sauce
First you have to clean the fish thoroughly, then sprinkle it salt and pepper according to taste. Fry in oil until golden brown. Set aside. Saute all vegetables in a little oil. Stir in Del Monter Sweet and Sour Sauce. After that heat for 5 minutes and pour over fried fish before serving.
My niece was very excited to sleepover at her friends’ house. She was allowed to join them because it was just two blocks away from their residence. She was so excited that she almost packed all snack foods from their cabinets such as chips, microwavable popcorn, nuts, and chocolates. This is new guys! Shoes made of old or used tires and plastic bottles. Environmental friendly isn’t it. The outsole of their shoe is made of old tires whereas the insole is made of corks (from wine bottles or other drinks). That’s good to hear. 10 thumbs up for you guys! It’s one way of minimizing our problem with waste. It is important that we make use of these rubber tires and plastic rather than burning them which worsen our problem with the environment – global warming.

My cousin is so creative. Sometimes I envy her for that. There was a family gathering which was held in the beach. I saw collecting flat rocks. When I visited to there house a week after, she decorate the rocks with colorful icon such butterflies, flowers, clouds and a more using a water-based paints.
